Piano Midi-files
Four compact disks of the
music written and performed by Michael
are now available to purchase.

A few, simple, technical details:
There are two midi files for many of the
songs – one a simple piano version,
(sometimes with instrumental
parts added – flute, oboe, clarinet, etc.), the
other an 'orchestrated’ version with up to eight or more
channels in stereo. Both
versions include all the verses so they can be used to accompany the singing
of
the songs
or hymns. Alternatively the pdf file of the musical score enables a pianist,
keyboard
player or
organist to play the songs instead.
The midi-files are all Type 1 midi-files and
have been produced using a GS Standard Keyboard. They can
be downloaded and played on a computer using Windows
Media Player (provided you have a
soundcard, and all modern computers do!) The midi-files can then be copied on to a floppy disc or CD-
Rom and loaded into
a digital keyboard or organ if it has a disc drive. Assuming it is GS Standard
keyboard all the instruments will play as planned!
If the keyboard or organ does not have a disc
drive but it is GS Standard all is not
lost provided it has
Midi In and Midi Out sockets. A simple Midi Interface such
as
the EV10 from Evolution Electronics Ltd
can be inserted into the USB socket of
a laptop computer with midi cables to the keyboard. The midi-files
can then be
played from the laptop through the keyboard or organ.
Michael is happy to hear from you via e-mail
